You don't have to be a student or faculty to use the library. Members of the community are welcome and encouraged to visit us and make use of our resources.
Borrowing Library Materials
Community members may register for a Community Borrowing account at the Circulation Desk with a valid driver’s license or state-issued photo ID. A borrowing account allows members of the community to check out materials from the UW-WC Library or request materials from any of the 13 UW Colleges. Librarians are available to help you navigate the library catalog and find the materials you want.
Accessing Electronic Resources
Any electronic resources and online databases licensed by the UW Colleges Libraries may be accessed by members of the community in the library only. Off campus access is not permitted for non-students. Community members are encouraged to use Badgerlink, a free resource providing access to a number of online databases to any Wisconsin public library card holder. Visit the UW-WC Library or your local public library to find out more.
Computing & Wireless Access
The library has 5 computers located in the library that are open to public use. Computer access is unlimited as long as there are enough computers for student use. Community members are welcome to bring in their own devices using our campus Wi-Fi access. Please visit the library service desk for a day-use guest login and password.
All public prints are $.10 each and must be paid for in cash at the circulation desk. Color printing is available for $.25 each. Please see library staff for printing assistance.
