The Student Veterans of America Club at UW-Washington County (UW-WC) are commemorating Veterans Day on Monday, November 13, with a ceremony that begins at noon in the campus theatre. All area veterans and their families, and the general public are welcome to attend. No reservations are needed.
According to Adam Buckelman, President of the Student Veterans of America Association, the 20 minute presentation will include colors, provided by the local VFW and songs by the Moraine Chorus.
The guest speaker is Roger Cross, who served in the U. S. Marine Corps from 1966 to 1972, including a stint in Vietnam as a mortar gunner.
The Veteran’s club plans to serve lunch and refreshments while supplies last, following the ceremony.
