Title: Community Rivers Program

Speaker: Mandi Zopp, Director of Research and Conservation, Riveredge Nature Center, Saukville

The Community Rivers Program (CRP) is a community-based approach to transforming the Upper Milwaukee River Watershed through the engagement of the rural communities in its region. The goal of the program is to inspire residents to care about their watershed, educate about the challenges faced by the watershed, and engage citizens in changing their behaviors and land management practices to help improve the habitat and quality of water in the watershed. Through a series of personal engagement, adventure activities, and community-wide efforts, Riveredge Nature Center is helping to create "Healthy River Communities".
