From August 6 – 14, UW Colleges SE Region Travel Coordinator, Vic Passante, will lead the Alaska Experience which includes Anchorage, Seward, Homer, and Denali. 

Your comfortable coach bus ride will begin in Anchorage and take the scenic journey to the Kenai Peninsula.  In Seward, you will have a 6-hour Kenai National Park Cruise. In addition, you’ll have an opportunity to eat at the Saltry Restaurant in Halibut Cove and explore other excursions. While in Homer, you’ll go to the world-famous Homer spit and be offered optional excursions like kayaking and fishing. Then, it’s back to Anchorage for a day before you board the deluxe dome rail car for your picturesque journey to Denali. From Denali Village, you will travel deep into Denali for the Tundra Wilderness Tour.  

The package includes: roundtrip air from Milwaukee; three nights in Anchorage, one night in Seward, two nights in Homer, and two nights in Denali Park Village, fifteen meals, airport transfers in Anchorage, deluxe motor coach transfers throughout, luggage handling, sightseeing tours, and a Premier Alaska Tours tour director throughout the land tour. 

Pricing: $5129/ person based on double occupancy or $6108/ person based on single occupancy

Return to the Driftless Region

September 18-19, 2018

Led by Travel Coordinator Vic Passante

UW-Colleges is returning to one of its most popular destinations of 2017, The Driftless Region of Wisconsin!  We will head north of La Crosse to the National Eagle Center in Wabasha before visiting Trempealeau’s newest agricultural industry at Elmaro Vineyard.  Enjoy another evening at The Charmant, La Crosse’s unique boutique hotel. The next morning, we will cross the Mississippi to La Crescent, MN and visit its apple orchards. Then, we'll head south on the Great River Road to Prairie du Chien. Based on your feedback from last year, we can’t return to the Driftless without returning to The Driftless Café for dinner en route to Waukesha!  Limited to 25 people.

Albuquerque's International Balloon Fiesta

October 9-13, 2018

Based on your feedback, we want to take you back to ABQ and help you check off another destination from your Bucket List to see the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta! With 500 plus balloons, the AIBF is the largest balloon festival in the world. You will be there for the spectacular Mass Ascension in the morning, and return at night to see the balloons illuminated by their propane burners at the Night Glow. For an additional fee, you can opt to take your own hot air balloon ride over the Rio Grande Valley with World Balloon. We’ve extended the trip by one day to include a visit to historic Santa Fe for a tour with a Georgia O’Keefe docent and lunch at the historic La Fonda on the Plaza. Don’t worry, you’ll have plenty of time to explore the many galleries and museums off the plaza. With daytrips to living pueblos and beautiful back country splendor, you’ll discover why New Mexico is the “Land of Enchantment.” Package includes admission to Chaser’s Club, an exclusive designated area at the AIBF, four nights at the Hyatt Place, day trips, guided tours, five meals, and airfare.
