Festival of Arts

festival of artsThe annual Festival of Arts is a campus-wide event that includes top student artwork from area middle and high school students; professional artwork for sale; a farmers market, musical presentations, kids art make and take it projects, food and fun. Admission is $2, parking is free. The 2019 date is Saturday, April 6 (10am-4pm). The event is managed by the Washington County Campus Foundation.

The Performing Artist Series brings together a variety of art forms including theatrical performances, music, and more.

Moraine Chorus

The Moraine Chorus is a mixed 'communiversity' chorus consisting of community members and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee at Washington County students.
The repertoire includes great choral works bMoraine Chorusy Mendelssohn, Brahms, Mozart, Bach, and others, as well as lighter pieces.

New members are always welcome. There are no auditions and no experience is necessary to join.

Professor of Music at UWM at Washington County, Peter Gibeau teaches music theory and aural skills as well as music literature and appreciation. Professor Gibeau has a Bachelor’s degree in piano performance from Oberlin Conservatory, Ohio, a Master’s degree in early music performance practice from University of Arkansas, Fayetteville and a Ph.D. in music theory with a minor in choral conducting from UW-Madison.

Rehearsals: Monday evenings, 7pm-9pm,  Room FA229.

SPRING CONCERT:   Sunday, May 5, 2019 - 3:00 p.m. 
The Moraine Chorus performs with the Kettle Moraine Symphony at Holy Hill. 
This annual concert typically sells out fast! 
Tickets are available on the Kettle Moraine Symphony website.

Moraine Symphonic Band

The Moraine Symphonic Band provides an outlet for musicians to express their musicality whether they are coming from high school, college, professional ranks or the community.
Members are able to work with musicians of various skill levels and the opportunity to play their instruments in an orchestral setting.

Moraine Symphonic Band logoTwo concerts are performed each year.
Building community through musical performance, the band explores a variety of different genres; from standard concert repertoire to 21st century music, jazz, pop-rock, to world and folk.
