About
Jim Hovorka is the new head Women's Basketball and Golf Coach for the UW Washington County Wildcats. He brings years of coaching and personal experience to the university's program.

Prior to coaching at UW-WC, Coach Hovorka was the girl's varsity basketball coach for three home school programs.  He also coached the Air Force varsity women's team for Grand Forks AFB while he was on active duty.  He is now retired after 27 years in the Air Force.

Some of Coach Hovorka's accomplishments were three consecutive years of over 20 wins, a number 15 ranking nationally for U-18 girl's homeschool basketball, and a number 5 ranking nationally for U-16 girl's homeschool basketball.

 Coach Hovorka currently resides in West Bend with his wife Lee, kids Elias, Abigail, Hannah, and Timothy. His three older children, Jessica, James and Nathan live in Wisconsin with their families.  He is also the proud Grandfather to seven grandchildren: Jimmie, Ben, Sam, Gwen, Emily, Isabelle, and Adilyn.  Coach Hovorka is a member of the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association.
