UW-Washington County in partnership with UW-Fond du Lac, announces a new Express Degree program to be offered on site at Beaver Dam High School, beginning in September 2013. Structured like the popular Washington Express program (now available in both Hartford and Grafton), students in the new Beaver Dam program will attend classes two evenings a week. All credits earned are transferable to any other UW System school and classes will be taught by UW-Washington County and UW-Fond du Lac instructors. Financial aid may be available depending on the number of credits a student carries each semester.
Classes offered in Beaver Dam will meet for seven weeks with one week off before the next seven week class session begins. A summer session class will also be offered, however, no classes meet in August. The program allows students to complete 15 college credits in one year. Students can supplement their face to face classes with online courses, available through UW Colleges online.
To learn more about the new program, an informational open house session is planned at Beaver Dam High School on Tuesday, July 9 or Thursday, July 11 (4:30pm-6:30pm) in the cafeteria. Staff will be available to answer questions about the program, as well as financial aid options.
Both campuses award an Associate of Arts and Science Degree and also offer a variety of bachelor degree completion programs. Tuition is the lowest in the UW System, offering thousands of dollars in savings for students.
