UW-Washington County to Host Economic Security Forum

Community Invited to Attend and Participate
3/3/11

Economic security is a topic that is on everyone’s mind these days. As the nation slowly recovers from its worst recession in decades, it’s time to ask, “What can be done to achieve economic security in our families, communities, state and nation?”   A forum to gather this community input is being planned at UW-Washington County in West Bend on Wednesday, March 16 at 6:30pm in Room 322.  Hosted by The Wisconsin Institute for Public Policy and Service, the two-hour forum is one of several such events planned throughout the state. The results of these forums will then be discussed at a statewide event in spring as well as a nationwide event at the National Archives in Washington D.C.

The community is invited to attend this free public forum and encouraged to add their voice to the national conversation on improving our economic security. Results of the deliberations will also be shared with state and national policy makers.

The University of Wisconsin-Washington County is located at 400 University Drive (off Hwy. 33 West) in West Bend.  It is the fifth largest of the 13 UW – Colleges, offering the first two years of study in over 200 majors.
