ALVIN FERNALD-MAYOR FOR A DAY” at UW-WC

Annual Youth Theatre Production begins Friday, April 16
4/5/10

UW-Washington County Youth Theatre is gearing up for their spring production of “Alvin Fernald-Mayor for a Day.’ Written by Clifford B. Hicks, the story is about an eleven year old boy who wins the opportunity to be mayor for a day and discovers that the real mayor is a criminal. The performance is the result of a semester long theatre course offered at UW-WC for youth, ages 10 to 17.  Student actors from West Bend, Germantown, Hartford, Kewaskum, and Slinger have been learning all the facets of a theatre production, under the guidance of John Sancomb.

“Alvin Fernald – Mayor for a Day” will be performed on Friday, April 16 and Saturday, April 17 at 7:00 pm and on Sunday, April 18 at 2:00 pm.

Free parking is available at the campus, which is located at 400 University Drive (just off Hwy. 33 West in West Bend). Tickets are $5.00 for adults and $3 for seniors (over 62) or children (12 and under).
