Scholar Sip Resumes in February - 2nd Wednesdays, 3:30pm in Library

The popular coffee & conversation program will resume on February 11. Join Chris Yogerst, Communications Professor, discuss his new book, From Headlines to Hollywood: Warner Bros. 1927-1941. Considered by many to be the most socially relevant studio in Hollywood at the time, Warner Bros. became largely influential by pioneering the incorporation of synchronized sound into films and became the "voice of the Great Depression."

Upcoming Sip speakers include:

  • March 11 - Graeme Reid, Director of Collections at the Museum of Wisconsin Art, will discuss the philosophy behind an art installation in "Curry at Home: the recipe for a great exhibition."
  • April 8 - Computer Science professor, Mech Johnson will give presentation entitled, "An Autobiographical History of Computers."
  • May 13 - History professor Kirk Tyvela will give a glimpse into his book project in "Paraguay: In Search of Archives and the Perfect Chipa."
