Description

Peggy Rozga is a civil rights activist, poet, playwright, and professor emerita of English at UWM at Waukesha. She will be speaking in conjunction with the exhibit "Crossing the Line: The Milwaukee Fair Housing Marches of 1967-1968."

The exhibit commemorates the 50th anniversary of Milwaukee's civil rights marches. Provided by the Wisconsin Historical Society, it examines the practices and prejudices that led to segregation in Milwaukee. The display also chronicles the school desegregation and fair housing movements of the 1960s. It also asks the question, "What can you do to end segregation today?"

Discussion takes place at UWM at Washington County in the Learning Commons (2nd floor). Everyone is welcome, free admission and coffee.
