The Moraine Chorus will present a winter concert on Sunday, December 7 at 2pm in the campus theatre.
All are welcome to attend; no reservations are needed.
Under the direction of UW-WC's Professor of Music, Dr. Peter Gibeau, the Moraine Chorus is a mixed "communiversity" chorus that includes UW-WC students as well as community members.
The featured works of the December concert are sections of Joseph Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass and choruses from Mendelssohn’s Oratorio Elijah. Both will be accompanied by a string quartet from the Kettle Moraine Symphony. Soloists include soprano Deanna Gibeau, tenor Sean Lundquist, and baritone Lester Hahn. Other works on the program include a cappella performances of Trois Chansons (Three Songs) by Debussy, and two Christmas Carols by PDQ Bach: O little Town of Hackensack and Throw the Yule Log On, Uncle John.
Free admission, with freewill offerings to the West Bend food pantry appreciated.
