This clever adaption by Joe Landry will bring the audience back to the golden age of radio. Sound effects will be performed live on stage and five actors will perform the various characters in the radio play, bringing a 1940s old time radio feel to life. Inspired by the classic American film, the play follows the story of George Bailey, as the angel Clarence is sent down from heaven to persuade the discouraged George from taking his own life one fateful Christmas Eve.
Serving as director, scenic and sound designer and artist is David Gasparetti of West Bend. A UW-WC alumni, David obtained his BA in theatre from UW Parkside. Brenda Huss is serving as stage manager, Johanna Landowski as costume designer and Heidi Salter as props master.
The cast includes Mitch Weindorf as George Bailey and Elizabeth Havican as Mary Hatch Bailey. Playing multiple roles are Courtney Vogel as Violet Bick and Co.; Jim Jacques as Potter, Joseph and Co., and Darryl Vogelmann as Clarence & Co.
