APPROPRIATE
PUBLIC SERVICE ACTIVITIES POLICY
The UW Colleges Department of History considers speeches to community groups, developing and presenting non-credit programs through continuing education for community groups, providing consultation services, and service on community boards and commissions as appropriate public services activities when the activities are clearly related to the History Department member’s academic expertise and professional competence. The authority to determine the appropriateness of public service activities is delegated to the Executive Committee of the Department.
