The members of the University of Wisconsin Colleges’ Department of History are governed by the policies contained in this book.  These policies are based on the University of Wisconsin Administrative Code, University of Wisconsin Colleges Administrative Policy, University of Wisconsin Colleges’ Senate Policy and the personnel and curricular needs and responsibilities of the department.  Copies of the appropriate sources are available in campus libraries, the campus Dean’s Office or from the chair of the department.  Notes at the end of each policy indicate the course and the date on which the document was adopted or amended by the department.  Any questions concerning these policies should be addressed to the chair of the department.
