FINAL EXAMINATION POLICY

Department of History

 

 

1.         A final examination appropriate for students in a two-year, undergraduate

            institution will be used for all courses in the Department.

 

2.         The final examination in all of the Department’s courses offered for two or more

            credits will be given during the final examination period designated in the

            Campus Timetable/Academic Calendar.

 

3.         Final examinations shall not exceed two hours duration.

 

4.         When an instructor does not return the final examination, students will have an

            opportunity to review their final exams, and/or discuss their final evaluations with

            the instructor up to one semester after the course is completed.

 

5.         Any Department member who, for sound pedagogical reasons, wishes to deviate

            from this policy must consult with the Chair about the appropriateness of the

            deviation at least three weeks prior to the scheduled examination date.
