UW-WC helps with Project Kenya

Students in Art Professor Josh Lesniak’s class at UW-Washington County will be traveling to Slinger this Thursday, April 22 to lend their creative talents to Slinger Elementary School students.  The college art students will be helping elementary students as they design and paint glass bowls that will be used for the Empty Bowls Salad Dinner, a fundraiser for Project Kenya Charity.  The decorated bowls will be available for purchase – either empty or with a dinner - that features an all-you-can-eat salad bar on Thursday, April 29 from 4:30-6:30 in the Slinger Elementary School Cafeteria.

Project Kenya Charity is a non-profit organization that works to alleviate poverty in Kenya.  Dr. Sandi Brunette- Hill, a Sociology professor at UW-WC is on the Board of Directors for Project Kenya and helped coordinate the art outreach.
