A new Gehl R190 skid loader arrived at The University of Wisconsin-Washington County this week - a donation from Manitou Americas, Inc., headquartered in West Bend.

According to Jon Etta, Regional Director of Facility Planning and Management, the Gehl skid loader is “dependable and versatile, allowing staff to maintain the building and grounds – from snow removal in the winter to landscape work in the summer.” Courtney O’Connell, Campus Administrator agreed, “the Gehl skid loader donation and continued support of the Manitou Group is greatly appreciated, especially in this period of reduced budgets.”

Lori Heidecker, Marketing Director of Manitou Americas who presented the keys, said: “Manitou Americas is honored to be affiliated with UW-Washington County and work with them in the same community. We have the right equipment to help the University maintain the building and grounds, and are proud to be able to assist them.”

Over 800 students attend the campus, located at 400 S. University Drive in West Bend. The campus is part of the University of Wisconsin System and offers freshman and sophomore courses in over 250 majors.
