Debbie Butschlick, Athletic Director and Volleyball Coach at UW-Washington County, was recently named Wisconsin Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year for the second year in a row. This is the first time in the history of the conference that a coach has been named Coach of the year in back to back years.
Butschlick began coaching the UW-WC Wildcats Volleyball team in 1985. During this time, the Volleyball team won the WCC Conference Championship six times (1990, 1994, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2008) and advanced to state competition nine times, winning the state title in 1992, 2002 and 2003. In addition to receiving the award in 2009 and 2010, Butschlick also earned the award in 1992, 2002, 2007 and the WJCAA Coach of the Year award in 1992, 2002 and 2003. The award is determined through a vote by the other coaches in the conference.
UW-Washington County is located at 400 University Drive (off Hwy. 33 West) in West Bend.
