2017-18 Fine Arts Series Announced

The University of Wisconsin-Washington County (UW-WC) is pleased to announce its upcoming 2017-18 performing arts schedule, with tickets available online at www.washington.uwc.edu

This year’s popular series includes five visiting artists, including a choir from Germany that kicks off the series in November - plus award winning folk artists and a theatrical production, written and directed by UW-WC’s
Rick Ponzio. Patrons may purchase tickets online, www.washington.uwc.edu, or email (wsh-tickets@uwc.edu). All performances take place in the campus theatre, located at 400 S. University Drive in West Bend.
Free parking is available.

Season ticket and Pick 4 Packages, provide a 15-20% savings over individual ticket purchases. Prices shown are advance ticket prices. Ticket sales on the day of the show are $2 more.

  • Black Market Trust
    Friday, December 8, 7:30pm

    Five world-class musicians combine gypsy jazz with sounds of great American crooners.
     
  • The Queen’s Cartoonist
    Friday, February 16, 7:30pm 
    ($20 adults, $18 seniors/youth)
    This jazz band specializes in music from cartoons. Their unique sound is amazing!   
     
  • Bettman & Halpin
    Friday, March 30, 7:30pm 
    ($20 adults, $18 seniors/youth)
    Award winning fiddle-playing, folk singing duo performs original, toe-tapping and heartfelt Americana and folk music.
     
  • Landscape of Guitar
    Friday, April 20, 7:30pm 
    ($20 adults, $18 seniors/youth)
    This groundbreaking art and music production combines animated paintings sung to life. The duo, master guitarist Bruce Hecksel and singer-songwriter Julie Patchouli have three top internationally charting albums.

THEATRICAL PRODUCTION:

  • A Comedy of Couples – Theatre on the Hill
    Thursday-Saturday, March 8, 9, 10 7:30pm ($15 adults, $13 seniors/youth)
    Delightful Italian comedy about three couples waiting to get married.  Written and directed by Rick Ponzio, UW-WC faculty
    Auditions: Tuesday, Nov. 28, UW-WC Theatre
