State Tournament
The stats are cumulative from the 4 matches. We finished with a tied for 3rd place, advancing to the semi-final round UW-WC vs UW-Sheboygan: 28 – 30, 22 – 30 UW-WC vs UW-Marathon: 30-22, 30-24
UW-WC
vs UW-Baraboo: 30-16, 20-30 The semi-final match was against MATC-Madison, we lost 15-30, 11-30. The team played extremely hard during the entire day. Katie Schroeder played with an injury, but you would not have been able to team by her performance on the court. Caity Ade, Jess Tock, Brittney Vorpahl, Megan Giersch and Robbi Bode each did a great job at the net giving the team points when needed and putting up blocks to stop the opponent’s offense. Jena Nienow, Amanda Straub and Amber Bernal played some outstanding defense, making plays when the opponent thought that the ball was dead. The team should be commended on a wonderful season.

Everyone played intense for all three matches. The team
was able to put together several major serving runs from
Brittney Vorpahl and Katie Schroeder during the three
matches. Being undefeated in our Region will rank us in
the number one position for pool play. The WJCAA State
tournament will take place on Saturday, at UW-Fond Du
Lac with play beginning at 11:00 a.m. UW-WC vs UW-Waukesha: 29 – 31, 30 – 20 UW-WC vs UW-Sheboygan: 30-21, 30-19 UW-WC vs UW-Rock: 30-17, 30-17 UW-WC vs UW-Fox Valley: 30-15, 30-24 UW-WC vs UW-BarronL 30-16, 30-21 UW-WC vs UW-Marathon: 25-30, 23-30 UW-WC vs UW-Marshfield: 28-30, 22-30
