Sept. 17 UW-Green Bay at Sheboygan County
UWM at Washington County Golf team finished 2nd behind UW Green Bay - Marinette Club Team in the 8 team Wombat Golf Invite at the Bull at Pinehurst Farms. Wildcat players Erik Hanschke and Ryan Rausch had top 10 finishes. Next on the schedule UWM - WC is the Fond du Lac Falcon’s Golf Invite at Rolling Meadows in Fond Du Lac, Saturday, September 29th.
Sept. 10th - UWM at Washington County Invite
The University of Wisconsin Milwaukee at Washington County captured the UWM at Washington County Golf Invite yesterday on their home course. The Wildcats were led by returning Medalist Kevin Albrecht with an 18 hole score of 78. Ashton Elmendorf from UW Green Bay - Sheboygan was second with an 81 and Erik Hanschke of UWM at Washington County was third with a score of 82. The Wildcats finished with a team score of 337 followed by Sheboygan at 380. The next match for the Wildcats in on Monday September 17 at the Bull in Sheboygan. The team consists of ten players with two returning from last year, Albrecht, and Ryan Rausch. Round out the team is Brad Halverson, Erik Hanschke, Connor Tanel, Mitchell Mallouk, Logan Naumann, Josh Bohn, Jacob Eichline, and Seth Ullsperger.

October 1 & 2 - WCC State Tournament
The UWM at Washington County Wildcat Golf Team finished as Runner-Up in the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference State Tournament. Under Coach John Minz, The Wildcats have become a golf powerhouse. In the last three years the Wildcats have earned Player of the Year three times, one State Team Final and two State Runner-Up trophies.
“Our four team members, Kevin Albrecht, Nikki Differt, Sam Krause, and Ryan Rausch, played great all season,” Coach Minz said. “Playing tournament golf with 4 players is tough. Finishing with 5 invite titles and as the WCC State Runner-Up is an exceptional year. I'm very proud of them. It is an honor to be their coach.”
Wildcat team member Kevin Albrecht finished as the Golfer of the Year, Sam Krause and Ryan Rausch were 2nd team All Conference.
Thurs. Sept. 28 - UW-Fond du Lac Invite
The UW-WC Wildcat Golf Team finished the Golf Invite season going a perfect 5 for 5, by taking 1st in the UW-Fond Du Lac Invite held at Rolling Meadows G.C. Wildcat players owned the podium with a 1 - 2 - 3 finish. Kevin Albrecht led all golfers with a 73, Sam Krause’s 79 was 2nd and Nikki Differt’s 81 was 3rd. Ryan Rausch’s top ten sealed the victory for the “Cats”. “It was a windy day, I wasn’t expecting the team to post their lowest score of the season. I’m really proud of the players”, Coach John Minz said.
The WIldcats look to remain undefeated when they wrap up the season with the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference State Tournament held at Mascountin C.C. Oct. 1st & 2nd..
Thurs. Sept. 21st - UW-Waukesha Invite
The UWM at Washington County Wildcat Golf Team goes 3 for 3 this by winning the UW - Waukesha Invitational held at Ironwood Golf Course with a team s core of 325. The Wildcat players all finished inside the top 6. Ryan Rausch was medalist, followed by Kevin Albrecht (2nd), Sam Krause (3rd) and Nikki Differt (6th).
“I could comment on their play today but telling you this story explains it better,” Coach Minz began. “We don’t have a scheduled practice before Marshfield Tuesday. They get out of the van after posting our best score of the year, and figured out a way to practice, that fits everyone’s schedule, before Tuesday’s Invite. It’s not just luck, they work for it.”
The Wildcats play Invites Tuesday and Thursday next week, before finishing the season with WCC State Tournament Oct. 1st & 2nd, at Mascoutin CC.
Mon. Sept. 18th - UW-Sheboygan Invite
The UW Sheboygan Wombat Invite was held Monday at The Bull at Pinehurst Farms. The invite is a good preview of the State Meet with all the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference Golf Teams competing.
UW-WC Wildcat Golf Team members: Sam Krause, Ryan Rausch, Kevin Albrecht, and Nikki Differt, finished in 1st wining the invite by a 3-stroke margin over host UW-Sheboygan. Sam Krause earned 2nd place honors and Ryan Rausch earned 4th place honors. Coach John Minz thought 2nd year player Albrecht summed up the day perfectly when he said " We won but we have room for improvement."
The Wildcats look to keep the roll going at the UW-Waukesha Invite held at Ironwood Golf Course Thursday.
Mon. Sept. 11th - UWM at Washington County Invite
UW- Washington County Wildcat Golf Team members Kevin Albrecht, Nikki Differt, Sam Krause, and Ryan Rausch began the 2017 season today at the Washington County Golf Course. The team won the Wildcat Invite with a respectable 331 team score.
“Washington County Golf Course is a great to play and the conditions are excellent, which make for a very fair competition. The Team played great to earn the victory. I proud of the way they played today,” Coach John Minz said.
Individually, Kevin Albrecht finished tie for 1st. Ryan Rausch finished 3rd, Sam Krause was 4th and Nikki Differt finished 10th.
The Wildcats next play Monday 9/18 in the Sheboygan Invite at The Bull of Pinehurst Farms.

Wisconsin Collegiate Conference State Golf Tournament

UW-Washington County Golf Team finished their season as Runner-Up in the WCC State Tournament held at Mascoutin Golf Club on October 2nd and 3rd. After two days of competition, the Wildcats finished 2nd, three strokes behind UW-Sheboygan.
Individually, Adam Butler finished as the Medalist. Kevin Albrecht also was 1st team All-Conference finishing 3rd. Nikki Differt earned 2nd team All-Conference. Mitch Saari just missed post season honors.
“I’m really proud of the players. Having only 4 golfers this year put a lot of pressure on them to perform, every score counts, no throw-outs. They made a real run for the title after being down 24 strokes the first day. To work your way back into contention on day two says a lot about their character. It has been a real honor to work with Nikki, Adam, Kevin, and Mitch”, Coach John Minz said

Ironwood Golf Course, Waukesha, WI
The UW-Washington County Wildcat Golf Team shot a team total 333 good for 2nd in the UW-Waukesha Invite held at Ironwood G. C. Kevin Albrecht paced the Cats with a 75 earning him medalist honor. Mitch Saari, Adam Butler, and Nikki Differt, had a top 10 finishes.
“We finally caught a break in the weather and our scores showed it. We ‘re improving but it’s going to take our best effort to beat a strong UW-Sheboygan team this year,” Coach John Minz said.
The Cats finish the Invite season next Thursday at Rolling Meadows in Fond Du Lac before competing for the WCC Title at Mascoutin CC on October 2nd & 3rd .

Sheboygan Falls, WI
The UWM at Washington County Golf Team once again showed they are a team to contend with this year by finishing second behind UW-Sheboygan in the Wombat Invite held at The Bull at Pinehurst Farms. In conditions so extreme the Invite was shortened to 9 holes, the Wildcat Golf Team was paced by Adam Butler, followed by Kevin Albrecht, Nikki Differt, and Mitch Saari.
“We talked, they’re putting up competitive scores, but not their best yet. We’re improving and should challenge for 2nd straight title by the end of this year.” Coach John Minz said.
The Wildcats next play Thursday in the UW-Waukesha Invite held at Iron Wood Golf Course

2015 WCC Champion UW – Washington County Golf Team opened the season by hosting the Wildcat Invite at Washington County Golf Course Monday. The Wildcats have a strong roster that should compete for team and individual honors all year. The team members include Kevin Albrecht, Adam Butler, Nikki Differt, Mitch Saari, and Hayden Steinhardt.
In today’s windy conditions, Kevin finished in a 3 way tie for 2nd, Mitch finished one shot behind 2nd, and Nikki finished one shot behind Mitch. “It was a little bittersweet, we had 3 players so we weren’t eligible for the team title. We set our priorities for the season and playing isn’t first so we were missing some players,” Coach John Minz said. “I was impressed with their scores, it was the toughest conditions so far this season” Minz added.
The Cats are next in action on Friday in the Marshfield Invite @ River Edge Golf Course.

Oct. 5 & 6 WINS WCC State Tournament
UW - Washington County Wildcat Golf Team finished off their near perfect season winning the UWC State Tournament held at Mascoutin CC in Berlin on Sunday and Monday. “Starting the season with a second motivated the team. They got on a roll, won all the rest of our team events and use that momentum to bring home the State Title.” Coach John Minz said.
Tim Pridemore led the team with an impressive 149 total. Mike Olson and Adam Butler finished tied for third. Tim Butler finished just outside the top ten giving the Wildcats a 10 stroke victory over second place UW Waukesha. The Cat’s Pridemore (medalist), Olson, and A. Butler earned 1st Team All-Conference honors. John Minz was UWM at Washington County Coach of The Year.
Sept. 30 - Silver Lake
The UWM at Washington County Wildcat Golf Team capped off a spectacular regular season with 2 top ten finishes at the Silver Lake Invite held on the Branch River golf Course Wednesday. Adam Butler finished 2nd and Tim Butler once again finished in the top ten. With only two players available The Cats weren’t eligible for team honors. Sept. 24 - UW-Waukesha
Wildcats are rolling! UW-Washington County Golf Team continues their impressive season winning The UW-Waukesha Invite held at Ironwood Golf Course Thursday. This is the third title in a row for UWM at Washington County . Tim Pridemore’s 75 (1st), Mike Olson’s 77 (2nd), Adam Butler’s 79 (4th) and Tim Butler’s 93, set a season low stroke total for this season. The Cats play their last invite Wednesday at Branch River in Manitowoc.
Sept. 21 - UW-Sheboygan Invite
1st Place Finish
UWM at Washington County Golf Team wins the 7 team Sheboygan Invite held at The Bull at Pinehurst Farms on Monday. It’s the second straight invite title for the Wildcats, this time edging out UW Waukesha. The “Cats” Tim Pridemore earned medalist honor. Tim and the rest of the “Cats”, Adam Butler, Mike Olson, and Tim Butler, earn the one stroke victory with a grind it out style of play.
Sept. 14 - UW- Washington County Invite
1st Place Finish
The UWM at Washington CountyGolf Team continued their fast start by dominating the five team UW-Washington County Invite held at the Washington County Golf Course. “Last week the players thought they let one slip away. Today we were home, the course was in great shape, it’s a true gem, but the wind made scoring tough. The guys really played well. I’m happy with the results,” Coach Minz said.
The Wildcats were led by Tim Pridemore (1st place), followed by Mike Olson (2nd), Adam Butler (4th), and Tim Butler (6th).
Sept. 11 - UW-Fond du Lac Invite
2nd Place Finish
With expectations high, UWM at Washington County Golf Team members Adam and Tim Butler, Mike Olson, and Tim Pridemore, opened their 2015 season Tuesday, with a second place finish in the Fond Du Lac Invite held at Whispering Springs Golf Course. Returning team member Tim Pridemore set the pace for the team posting a 79, good for 3rd place.
“I’m happy with our effort. It was the first time playing the course which caused us to have a little trouble with the greens and finding the correct landing areas off the tee. Second is a good start to the season.” Coach John Minz said.
Practice is scheduled by Coach John Minz and is held at the Washington County Golf Course.
