More Information on:
Important Information:
-
Advance
Tuition Deposit (ATD):
All new and continuing students who
register for classes are required to make a $100 Advance
Tuition Deposit (ATD) to secure their class registration. The ATD is
not a fee, but an advance payment and a financial commitment,
which is applied towards your tuition. The ATD is refundable if the
student withdraws from UW-WC prior to July 1, 2008 for fall 2008 classes. The ATD cannot
be covered by financial aid or scholarship monies. Payment may be made by mail (check), at the
Business office (cash, check or money order only) or via PRISM
(credit card or electronic check). Allow at least an
additional 24 hours after paying the ATD, before registering for
classes (system updates).
-
Students'
Responsibility:
Students are responsible
for payment of tuition and fees by the due date (as listed above). Students who
withdraw after June 30,
2008 (for fall 2008 classes) will be charged a $100 withdrawal fee.
Any student account that goes into default will be responsible
for all collection costs associated with the collection of the
past due amount.
More information on withdrawal fees.
-
Late Fees:
Students who have not paid their tuition by
the above deadlines will
be assessed a $100 late fee. In addition,
any
student account that goes into default will be responsible for all
collection costs associated with the collection of the past due
amount.
Withdrawal Fee:
Students who withdraw after May 1, 2008 for
summer 2008 classes or June 30, 2008 for fall 2008 classes will be charged a $100
withdrawal fee.
-
Course Changes:
If you have made any changes to your
course schedule, please check your
PRISM
account online for the accurate balance. No invoices are mailed. Check

you enroll for both credit and audit courses, all of
your credits will be billed at the full credit rate.

Online
Course Fees
Online course tuition, fees, payment requirements, and payment
schedules differ from all other UW-Colleges campus requirements.
Additionally, an administrative fee is charged for each
Online course.
Check
www.online.uwc.edu
for current payment information. You will NOT
receive an invoice; please follow payment instructions carefully.
Once the semester begins,
UWC Online tuition is refundable according to
the institution-wide UWC tuition refund policy and calendar.
Your seat in the course is not secure until your
Online tuition is paid in full or, if you are a UW-C degree seeking
student, UW Colleges confirms that you have adequate financial aid
to cover your Online tuition in full. If you fail to meet this
requirement, you will be removed from your course(s) when the course
is full or at the close of Online registration.
Compressed Video & Audiographic Fees
An additional $10 per
credit applies to all courses delivered via compressed video or
audiographics to reflect extraordinary costs to maintain distance
education equipment and networks.
Audit Fees
For Fall 2008 courses, the audit fee is estimated to be $53
per credit* for Wisconsin residents. Wisconsin residents, age 60 and
over, may audit courses at no charge. If enrolled for both credit
and audit courses, all credits will be assessed at the credit rate.
*An additional $2.00 is assessed per person for United Council dues.

Concurrent Enrollment
If you are also enrolled at another
University of Wisconsin campus, your fees may be adjusted, depending
on your total credit load. To receive any adjustment to which you
may be entitled, bring your "paid" receipt from that campus to the
UW-Washington County Business Office prior to the due date. If you
don’t have a “paid” receipt by that time, make contact with the
Business Office to make arrangements to avoid any late fees being
applied. This does not apply to students enrolled in one of the
collaborative degree programs held on the UW-WC campus.
Holds:
If you owe the UW Colleges a
fine, money, or materials, or are delinquent on payment of a loan
obtained through the UW Colleges Financial Aid office, a hold will
be placed on your educational records. The hold will prohibit you
from registering in the future and you will not be able to receive a
transcript.
Questions:
For questions regarding
payment of tuition and fees, stop in the Business Office Monday through Friday
between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., or phone 262-335-5205. |
