A number of testing dates are available for UW-Washington County students. All seats are reserved, no walk-ins allowed. It takes about two weeks to receive your scores - so plan accordingly. You cannot register for Math or English courses until your scores are available. You will find links to sign up for Placement Testing in your Admissions Letter that you will receive in an email or you can use the links below.
New Freshmen Students
Placement Tests are required of all new UW-WC students who plan to take English and Mathematics classes. The results are used to determine the appropriate English and Mathematics courses in which you should enroll. We also offer optional placement testing in Spanish, French and German (more information below). Tests from other colleges and universities outside the UW System DO NOT replace these Placement Tests.
The link to sign up for Placement Tests will be included in your Admissions Letter or you can sign up for Placement Testing here.
You must attend Advising/Registration and Orientation sessions AFTER you complete your Placement Test. You can register for Advising/Registration any time, but the date must be after your Placement Test. Your test results will be given to you at that time.
