Placement Testing & Orientation

After you have been accepted for admittance, all freshmen must complete placement testing. You'll receive your placement test scores at Orientation, where you will also plan your class schedule and register for classes. Parents & adult family members are welcome to attend Orientation. Student Services will notify you of your Orientation date after you have taken your Placement tests.

New Freshman  (age 21 and under)

Placement Tests are required of all freshman students who intend to take English and Mathematics classes. The results are used to determine the appropriate English and Mathematics courses in which to enroll. 		Most testing takes place on Saturday morning, beginning at 9am. A date will be assigned to you, after you have been admitted. All seats are reserved - no walk ins allowed.

All tests are in Room 201
 		 Placement Test Fee: $25
Orientation Fee: $75
Advance Tuition Deposit (ATD): $100
Total Fees = $200  (cash or check only)

Fees must be paid at least 48 hours prior to placement testing.
Cash or check only (payable to UW-WC). 
No credit cards.
Non Trads (age 22 and up),
Transfer, Re-Entry & Special Students
English and/or math placement tests may be required. Phone Student Services (262)-335-5201 to schedule an appointment with an advisor. 
Information regarding placement testing and registration will be mailed, after you have been admitted.

Students with Disabilities
If you have a disability and require
non-standard testing, contact Dan Cibrario at (262)-335-5201 at least two weeks prior to the test date.
Documentation will be required.

 When to Arrive What to Bring

Plan to arrive early
 - at least 15 minutes before the scheduled
start time.

Testing begins promptly at scheduled time and takes approximately 4 hours.
The English and Mathematics tests are each 90 minutes in length.
Late arrivals are not admitted.

  • #2 pencils

  • Hand-held non-graphic calculator (optional -- not required but they are not provided)
  • $100 Placement Test/Orientation Fee
  • $100 Advance Tuition Deposit (ATD)


    Use the main campus entrance, the Student Services office is located to your immediate right.
