UW-Washington
County has entered into an agreement with UW-Platteville to
begin offering a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical and
Electrical Engineering, beginning in the fall semester of
2008.* These are fully accredited bachelor’s degree programs,
with all classes meeting at the West Bend campus. This is an
ideal choice for area high school students interested in a
career in engineering, as well as working adults who need to
complete a bachelor’s degree to advance their career potential.
Projected demand for engineers greatly exceeds the number of
engineers available for this exciting, high demand career.
Advisors at UW-WC will work with students on a personalized plan
to meet their specific situation.
The degree explores conflict resolution, public administration,
community power systems and political behavior. In addition, the
degree:
-
Heightens an
understanding of complex social, political and economic
issues.
-
Develops
leadership skills applicable in career and community
settings.
-
Prepares you
for supervisory positions in government, civic and
career-related activities.
