I’m the guy at UW-WC who teaches ballroom dance, the Bible as literature, and writing for an academic audience.  Oh, and I also introduce students to interesting ideas wrapped up and presented by human characters (also known as “Literature”).

I try to keep students actively engaged in my classes; when there is a sense of “controlled chaos” you know things are going well.  If you take a composition class with me, plan on doing more revising than you ever daydreamed of.  If you take a literature class with me, plan on reading/discussing great works, writing analysis papers, and giving a short presentation to the class.  If you take my American Literature and Ballroom dance class, yes, you actually get to learn to dance!
