yes, he doesn't seem in a hurry to change, because he is human, ad I think because he works for the church he knows that he is human, and to be human is to be sinful, and there is really nothing you can do about it. as hard as you try you will never be perfect, God designed the human to not be perfect, however God does require that we try. so yes I agree that he is arrogant and that arrogance will catch up with him in the end.
